Testimonials
Thank you to Angela and Jen for making the drive and braving the cold for our engagement pics!
Andrea P.Jen and Angela were very friendly and professional! I look forward to seeing our family photos and hopefully booking them again!
Shannon H.They were awesome. Knew where to take pictures based on light etc. They were very personabIe was extremly pleased.
Nancy G.Wonderful, as always!
Lisa Y.This is the second time we have used them. They are WONDERFUL, we had such a great experience. They worked well with our kids, and knew when they needed a break and when the kidswere done. Angela and Jen were laid back and never made us feel rushed! It was another A+++ exprience.
Julie C.Angela and Jen are wonderful!! They spend the time necessary to get the great shots and they were wonderful with our 18 month old daughter. We love working with them and will do so again in the future.
Lori K.We couldn’t be happier with our engagement pics! You ladies do amazing work!!:)
Melissa M.On Saturday Jen and Angela photographed my daughter and her family, some fantastic shots in a peaceful location. Just from the sneak preview, I can tell I’m going to love every single photo. If you are looking for great photographers, give Capture A Moment in Photography a call.
Maureen D.Let me tell you how awesome you guys are…it took me 2 months to get an appointment with another photographer who then cancelled 3 times. Called you guys on Friday, got a session in on Saturday, proofs were up on Sunday, and received my CD with images that turned out just GREAT on Tuesday! Definitely recommending you and using you guys again!
Teresa A.Jen and Angela were patient to the extreme and I thought that after all that time of wrangling our two, that perhaps they had “captured a moment” we wouldn’t want to display on our walls. Boy, was I wrong and was happily surprised when the proofs came in and there was lovely picture after lovely picture of my children looking adorable and happy and joyful. They worked magic! I can say that we are excited to have found…

Cyman Family
Beautiful day. Beautiful location. Beautiful family. That about sums up this shoot.
This session took place at Van Hoosen Farm in Rochester Hills. We caught on to what a great spot this was a little late in the year, but it quickly earned a place on our favorites list! We hope you enjoy the images and this family as much as we did.

The Bowlby Family
Today was a day of luck all around. This was one of those shoots that we thought for sure was going to be cancelled. As outdoor photographers, you often have to play by the rules of Mother Nature and Mother Nature decided that it was going to rain this particular afternoon. As we were driving to Wolcot Mill, it poured and we thought for sure that we were going to get “that” phone call, the one that all photographers dread but know is coming, to cancel the shoot. But we kept driving. As we approached the Mill, the clouds started to break up, a peek of sunshine and blue skies started to show and luckily never got “that” call. We did however talk to Tamie and they were a bit lost but luckily found their way and all of us agreed to go ahead with the shoot and take our chances. The ground was wet and the wind was cold but the scenery was fresh and fall and crisp. Not only was the weather a challenge but both of us were a bit nervous shooting for this family since Tamie is a photographer herself and a busy one at that, so the pressure was on! We all entered the Mill with a bit of hesitation but hopeful to find some great spots between the Halloween decorations. Tamie, Brett, Brynn and Blake are a beautiful family and it didn’t take long to start capturing the love amongst them. Brynn is gorgeous with these beautiful blue eyes and she was thrilled with all the fallen leaves that were bigger than her head. Blake was so sweet and pretty willing to do whatever we asked him to do including holding his sisters hand! We had fun trying different poses in different places, even the Halloween board with the cut-outs for each face. The parked closed and we had to cut the session a bit short but we managed to squeeze in some great moments during that time. The four of them make such a beautiful family and it was a pleasure having a chance to Capture this Moment with them. At the end of the day, the shoot turned out some great fall family photos, soggy ground and all! We can definitely say that we will be returning to this great location next year! Thank you Tamie, Brett, Blake and Brynn for spending a cool, wet fall afternoon with this and thanks for giving us some great family smiles!
The “B” Family
What can we say about this family other than they are simply gorgeous! What a beautiful group of people both inside and out! J and T were up for anything and you could just feel the love between them. Lil man M was so outgoing and so happy and so ready to give us a smile, he was easy squeezy to capture and a joy to talk to along the way. Tall and stunning T was a bit more of a challenge but when he did give us his smile, it was like we won a million bucks. We had a beautiful day that day and even though we had to fight off the crowds at this beautiful Cider Mill, it was definitely worth effort because the gorgeous backdrop mixed with a beautiful and amazing family made for a truly amazing day! Thanks to this family for spending the afternoon with us, it was a pleasure meeting your family and getting to know each of you! We look forward to following your family as you grow!
Trisha and kids
When we walked up to Trisha’s car that day, the kids were simply not interested in having their photographs taken and mom was a bit nervous about how things were going to turn out. Faith was the first to hop out and we quickly realized that this young and graceful beauty had a creative soul and once she realized we were game, Faith was ready for her shoot! Noah on the other hand, he kept us moving! He tested our ability to capture a moving target in a way only a boy could. He has an amazing spirit and non-stop energy and he has his own style. All pictures with Noah are candid and honestly that is the best way to capture his soul. Trisha is beautiful and loves her kids completely and was so excited to have a gorgeous afternoon in a beautiful park with amazing colors to capture her family in timeless images. We couldn’t have asked for better colors that day and the kids truly enjoyed the fresh air and newly fallen leaves. We are very happy with the way the shoot turned out and we are so thankful that we had a chance to capture this beautiful moment with the lovely family! Thank you Trisha, Faith and Noah for spending time with us that beautiful day!
A Sweetest Day Wedding: Elise & Mitch
It was a crisp fall morning and very early when we arrived to take photos of Elise getting ready to marry the man of her dreams. As all mornings of the wedding goes, things were a bit crazy, people were excited and Elise handled it all very well. Elise and Mitch were married inside the beautiful chapel in Greenfield village in a small ceremony with the people they love and cherish the most in attendance. After the ceremony, we had a chance to walk around the village a bit and enjoy the fall colors and terrific backgrounds to capture some memorable images that they will cherish forever! Congratulations Elise and Mitch, may your your love grow even more as each blessed day passes! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
LOVE LOVE LOVE: Amanda & Lance
These two people are so in love, you can feel it in person, you can see it in their eyes, it comes across in their pictures. It is so nice and so refreshing to meet two people that just love each other. They met through eHarmony and their first date was breakfast at a pancake house in Columbia and from then on, they have been inseparable. They are to be married in Vegas soon, by Elvis and they couldn’t be happier! Amanda has such a wonderful personality. She is cheerful and positive and has an ever ready laugh. Lance is quiet and he clearly loves her, honestly, he couldn’t keep his hands off her and they clearly love every minute together! Thank you Lance and Amanda for allowing us to Capture your Love through our lens and we are so very excited to Capture your moments for the rest of your lives. See you in November for your Wedding Reception!!
Mother & Daughter: Jen and Macayla
This shoot was a lot of fun. We had to fight swarms of people at a very, VERY busy Cider Mill on a very, VERY beautiful fall day. We made them go in cold water, we made them climb on trees and tree stumps. We even made them climb down big stones just to capture a shot next to the water. They did it all and did it with a smile. Jen has such a sincere and warm personality and fantastic character. In the candid shots we captured, she always had a funny face or a big smile. Macayla is simply teenage beauty with the gorgeous skin, the bright eyes and a friendly way about her even when she was done and ready to eat some donuts! As mom and daughter, they seemed to really enjoy their time together. It was nice to see a beautiful relationship between a mom and her daughter. Thank you Jen and Macayla for putting up with all our “crazy” ideas!
